Occasionally, we need to step out and make sure our ideas still connect with the people we are trying to reach.  I spent some time this weekend at Georgia Tech, looking for some sly programmers that see the potential in open source development.  In my search for what I would consider forward thinking developers with street smarts, I decided to ask them some questions about how they use content on the Internet.  I was surprised that these students, some of the best and the brightest in the country, didn’t offer up any technologies, sites or mind altering revelations on how they interact with the Internet and each other.  Interesting…  Maybe we are onto something.

Back to moving forward.  It is easy in the beginning to find the development process and initial functionality mapping tedious and almost overwhelming.  Keep pushing forward.  Every time I take a break and discuss even a high level piece of my puzzle with someone, I find a new fire and an even more compelling reason to take that next step.  Make it happen.  Build it and they will come.  -matt
